The mission of Epic Tri Kids Tri is to motivate and inspire kids to lead an active and healthful lifestyle through the sport of triathlon. Fun, safety and spirit will the priority when kids age 7-14 complete and compete in age-appropriate distances. This race is not to be confused with another fabulous event: Tri Kids Try of Midland, Michigan.

Saturday, June 23rd 6:30-8:15 am Distances: 7-10 year olds: 150m swim, 3 mile bike, 1 mile run

Directions Park Info: A State Park permit is needed to enter Waterloo Recreation Area.
- The Recreation Passport is your $10 ticket to Michigan's state parks and outdoor adventures!
- Out-of-state residents will still be required to purchase a $8 daily permit or a $29 annual Motor Vehicle Permit.
- A Recreation Passport is necessary for all vehicles with a Michigan license plate to enter the park. A daily permit is not an option for Michigan residents.

Non-USAT members who paid a one-day license fee need not present proof of membership. Non-USAT $10 Fee Explanation: The $10 fee for non-USAT members is for USAT insurance. The entire $5 fee is paid to USAT. USAT is the governing body for the sport of triathlon. Schedule of Race Day Events:
- 6:30 a.m. Packet Pick-Up
- 6:30 a.m. Transition area opens
- 8:15 a.m. Packet Pick-Up closes
- 8:15 a.m. Transition area closes
- 8:15 a.m. Mandatory meeting on beach
- 8:30 a.m. Race begins
- 9:15-10:30 a.m. Post-race celebration and athlete breakfast, finish area
- 9:45 a.m. Awards ceremony (approximate time)
Wetsuit Rule: Each participant shall be permitted to wear a wetsuit without penalty in this event up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Race Divisions: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14
Note: Youth divisions are based on the age of the youth on race day. Awards: Finisher award to all finishers.
